Weeellllll..... Believe it or not, the only picture I have of last night is the requisite father daughter polaroid picture, I forgot to bring my camera. I took my daughter and two of her friends shopping at the mall yesterday, I had to buy Monster Girl a dress, & of course shoes to go with it. We both decided to abstain from the whole corsage thing this year. Monster Girl's friends helped her find a dress, and it really didnt take to long at all (I just followed along as they led the way, waiting outside reading my magazine until it was time to go pay), that is until we got to the shoes. I had to go in and help Monster Girl find the shoes, I think it took about an hour, aaahhhhhh!!!! Now the dance was very nice, the food was great (I had seconds), and the girls looked very beautiful in all their finery. One thing bothered a lot of us fathers(or at least made most of us fathers wonder a bit, or is that worry a bit), how do these girls know all of these songs, and the dances that go along with them, 'have they been taking secret classes?'. The DJ would put a song on, and within two notes the room was filled with high pitched screams that made the fathers cringe and stagger a bit, as all of the girls (except maybe one or two") would go screaming and running to the dance floor. I'm proud to say that Monster Girl never once screamed and went running to dance, she may have excitedly said that she liked a song and went dancing, but at least she didn't go screaming, I'm glad that she didn't seem as familiar with all those dang dances as most of the other girls. I danced all of the slow father/daughter dances with Monster Girl, otherwise she danced with all the rest of the girls, as a matter of fact, there was only a couple of fathers who got up and danced anything but the slow dances, but it didn't seem to bother the daughters at all. Monster daughter was feeling a little bored towards the end, so we left a little before the rush, and went driving around in the snow for a awhile, when we got home Monster Girl all of a sudden wasn't feeling well so she laid on the couch and before we knew it she had a fever going and felt rotten. Monster Girl's fever reached a high of 103.?, I stayed up until 4:45 AM with her, got her fever down to 100.?, where it is still. Now I'm just sitting around wondering when I'm going to shovel, if I needed snow like this I would move to Minnesota or Buffalo, or Canada....

Monster, this is an important story. WWJD? SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - An Alaska high school violated a student's free speech rights by suspending him after he unfurled a banner reading "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" across the street from the school, a federal court ruled on Friday. Joseph Frederick, a student at Juneau-Douglas High School in Alaska, displayed the banner -- which refers to smoking marijuana -- in January 2002 to try to get on television as the Olympic torch relay was passing the school. Principal Deborah Morse seized the banner and suspended the 18-year-old for 10 days, saying he had undermined the school's educational mission and anti-drug stance. Friday's ruling by the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco overturned a decision by a federal court in Alaska that backed Frederick's suspension and said his rights were not violated. The appeals court said the banner was protected speech because it did not disrupt school activity and was displayed off school grounds during a non-curricular activity. "Public schools are instrumentalities of government, and government is not entitled to suppress speech that undermines whatever missions it defines for itself," Judge Andrew Kleinfeld wrote in the court's opinion. The court also cleared the way for Frederick to seek damages, saying Morse was aware of relevant case law and should have known her actions violated his rights. |

harumph, no Monster indeed... how about my daughters name, it works well for either a girl or a boy, and it is... "Devlin" middle name "Sky" very few people seem to have that name as a first name. Now my sons first and middle names are "Max August Fusion" Now about my daughters name, my wife and I both came up with the name Devlin separately, shortly after we met, as a name we would like for our first born. At first she thought I had snuck into her office building and went through her trash and found the paper that she had been doodling names on (I have that effect on women, remember this is right after we met), I on the other hand have always liked that name, or ever since I can recall it's been one of my favorites, it had nothing to do with the Bill Cosby movie, "The Devil and Max Devlin", honest.... Now my sons name, well I originally wanted to name him Kiawah, but she would have none of it, we thought about naming him Mac, or Macs, but instead went with Max, my wife liked August for a middle name, I didn't have much thought on August, it was okay, but I was a little peeved at not being able to use Kiawah. So after my son was born, in a midwife clinic, cord around his neck-intubated by the paramedics & neonatal doctor that arrived with them, I accompanied my son on his first ride (in an ambulance, with a couple of police cars blocking all of the intersections on the way to the hospital), and spent a long and fretful night without much information, I passed out in the waiting room (it was a long day) for an hour or so until they told me I could finally go and see my son. Well when I walked into the NICU and saw my son I couldn't help but cry, laid out there on the table with a heat lamp over him like a chicken in the supermarket, tubes and monitors stuck here and there. So there I stood, gently touching him and softly talking to him, not knowing what to think, no way to contact my wife (although one of the midwifes had been at the hospital taking care of that bit, turns out she lives in the town I live in now), and feeling a bit lost, kinda like battle fatigue, when I noticed that a machine he was hooked up to had the name MedFusion on it, and BOOM!, it just hit me - that's his middle name, it ties everything together. My daughters middle name Sky, what's up in the sky? A big ball of fusion... I filled out the birth certificate before I got a ride back to the midwifes clinic to be with my wife, I could have chosen Kiawah as his other middle name, but Fusion was it, sometimes you just know what's right, and so far my wife hasn't divorced me because of my choice, she just keeps saying I can stay another week.

Seagal's got MOJO! He sings and plays guitar as he kicks your arse. Mojo Seagal.... the real question here is, why were you there? Hey, I just saw that he will be performing Saturday June 3 in Secaucus, at the Chiller Theatre Toy Model & Film Expo.
I think seeing him perform at the expo would be cool, he's playing in AC on the 23, then he will be at the Big Apple Comic Convention the next day, signing autographs only, but on Sunday he'll be at BB KIngs the next day, Sunday the 25th. Dude, we've got to go, we need to fill up the place with MOL'ers.
Quote:Steven Seagal is a martial arts master who has gone on to have a successful movie career, starring in movies such as Above The Law, Under Siege and Exit Wounds. As a “blues fan”, Steven Seagal admires and has been inspired by some of the greatest musicians ever, such as Curtis Mayfield, Lightning Hopkins, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King and Robert Johnson. Mixed with world music’s strong influence, his “blues world” compositions appear as natural, subtle, and authentic.
Check out the lyrics for his song "Talk to My "
Quote:I woke up this mornin’ and I asked my baby to fix me some scrambled eggs I woke up this mornin’ and I asked my baby to fix me some scrambled eggs Well she looked at me kinda surprised And she said baby, you got your own two pair a legs I went to bed last night, I tried to give my baby some love I went to bed last night, I tried to give my baby some love Well she looked at me kinda surprised and she said Baby you got your own two pair a hands but you ain't got no glove chorus But thank you for reminding me I got my own two pair of legs oh and thank you for reminding me I got my own two hands but it seem like I got a new set of plans I cant have no compromise I hate to break it to you but I got my own two pair a eyes I went down to see my mama and I told my mama my situation she said son it sound like you need some excavation in your habitation she said love goin’ to have to have some give and take if you can’t have that you gonna have nothing but heart break I went back home last night I told my baby to get on up the road Well she looked at me kinda surprised Suddenly she not so cold I told her I cant have no more sass and from now on she can talk to my
