^ Oh yeah, I didn't take that photo. It's from the A.P. The quote above makes me think. What does an artist want for his children. My Dad was a cop - I grew up with him always saying to me, "Whatever you do - don't be a cop". It was confusing - most sons want to be like their dad. He always said that he wanted me to "one up" him. I can tell you that I am not a member of the law enforcement community. I am a member of the creative professional leauge. What do I want for my sons? To be a cop? To be a photographer? To be a cook? To be rich? To be strong? What I want for them is to always be a kid. Being a grown-up kinda blows.
Sure. Being a big boy has perks. I can rent a car. Go on big rollercoasters. Light grills. Stay up late. Watch R rated movies. Buy fireworks. Think big thoughts and drink coffee. Use a paper cutter. But what I really want to do is play freeze tag.

Hey Buzz...if you are available when I actually get around to shooting the MOL short film, would you consider be the on set still photographer? I need those shots for the festival submissions. And you are one helluva good photographer. It would have to be a freebie though...not a lot of people jumping on my pay pal bandwagon. |

There are so many things I should be doing here (at work), yet I sit here typing things that are not work releated. Is that so wrong? I asked my oldest young one to stop picking his nose - he said, "it's not me, it's my hand - it won't stop". Sorry about that mental image. One really does not want to be labled the nose picker. There was one in every class. I still remember the one from my class, Owen D. It's a rap you can't loose once you get it. I feel this information is more important than say, oh - doing what I should be doing. I might be wrong. I could be right. At least I am not picking my nose, and I never threw up on my shoes. But what scared me most of all is that I feel I might be getting sick of all the songs on my ipod. I need new music. I have some free downloads from the itunes store - any value suggestions for songs over four minutes? |

I pass this life lession I just had the pleasure to learn on to you: When speaking in front of a large group of people, DO NOT CHEW GUM - it could fall out of your mouth. If this does happen, address this issue in a quick and comedic way. Don't pretent it did not happen - you are underestimating your audience. |

^ this might just be one of the perfect pictures. It has it all. Did I ever tell you that I got to shake Muhammad Ali's hand? It was an amazing and surreal experience. I was driving down Parade Street in beautiful Erie, Pa. I passed a small group of people surrounding a pretty big guy. My brain said to me - that looks like Muhammad Ali. I did a u-turn and went back to see what was up. As I departed my tan 1985 dodge diplomat, I saw that it was indeed Ali. I waited around and shook his hand - a huge hand that engulfed mine. I can always tell my son that he can shake the hand that shook the hand of Muhammad Ali. I remember shaking some older guys hand that said, "shake the hand that shook the hand of John L. Sullivan". I had no idea who that was. Later I learned that he was the boxer that took the title from Paddy Ryan. As it goes, I am very good friends with Paddy's great-grand daughter. We worked together a while back. Where was I? OH! I had this dream that my old Dodge Diplomat was haning from a huge rope over my head in the main hall of some huge house. I had to get it down before the owners came home. Everytime I tried to call someone my phone turned in to an english muffin. I miss that car. We went through a lot together. |

Remember the time I drove into a keg party at Willowbrook and every one thought I was an undercover cop driving my 4 door black Diplomat?? this was the same car Brian and Matt figured out how to make run without the keys in the ignition, so they used to "steal" it on me all the time. ah, the good old days. |

Wow. Looking at the news today - it really feels like the world is going to end. I am not too sure I have enough tin foil for a nice hat. Isn't there supposed to be some like HUGE party before this happens? Or does that only happen in Prince songs? Can anyone shine any light on this?
