MWF. Early thirties, outgoing and personable. Non-controversial mother of one who seeks like-minded individuals for BBQs and beer parties. |

Hmmmm....what does non-controversial mean in this context? |

Not sure. I have no platform (yet). While I feel that this town has it's share of rudeness and poor driving (selfish driving) I feel we still tend to be a nicer community then let's say ... Livingston. |

Algebra2 - Why is Livingston not a "nice" community? |

I was thinking on the lines of Buff-jo's rudeness posts and have found during my time in Livingston (my husband's home town) that people are rude, demanding, selfish, tend to be "judgemental", and much less open-minded than those in our community. |

>I have no platform (yet). Well, missy, we need to find you a platform! I have an idea: Perhaps you can launch a one-woman campaign to get that *infernal* ice-cream truck to change its little musical number every so often. I for one would appreciate some Van Morrison, or REM rather than that #@**@&**!!! tune it now plays repeatedly. I would launch this campaign myself, but am much too busy fighting for human rights, saving trees, exposing socioeconomic inequality, and holding my critics at bay using strong language suh as "meanie-pants". I'm thinking "NO Meanie-Pants in Maplewood" might be my new slogan. Oops, sorry -- I'm rambling in your area. I'll be quiet now. BTW, I'd be happy to do the barbeque/beer thing. I could even try to be non-controversial! |

Better coffee at the train station? Buff-jo: How about why that Ice Cream Man has never driven down my street? Rude waitresses at the Maple Diner? Losers who plug up traffic waiting for the perfect spot? I'm working on an Ice Cream Truck tune -- does Skynard work? It could be worse, it could play "It's a Small World". |

I think we should find a way to surreptitiously change the tune the truck plays to Freebird and then stand at our curbs with zippos lit as it drives by. That would certainly add some pizazz to our tasteful little town. |

Awful band? Lynard Skynard? Beach is NOT in charge of the music at the MOL beer party! |

Sorry Algebra, I was referring to Led Zeppelin. Lynyrd Skynyrd's ok. I guess I was way too busy listening to The Beatles back in the 70's. Today too! |

Algebra, Maybe Beach meant Led Zeppelin? Or, maybe Beach was referring to Benny Bimbo and the Trombonies? |

Ok, since nobody's posted to me since June ... I'll post to myself: With regard to WORK, my husband is in search of a job change. He works in television production, he's been a Post Production Coordinator for Kingworld where he worked for some under budgeted shows -- this gave him a wealth of experience, from basically running the Post Production Department, to cutting and editing shows on the AVID, to working in the control room as a Booth P.A. and Script Supervsior. He is extremely "interpersonal", meaning that he really gets along well with others, works his butt off to meet deadlines, is a team guy (last Thanksgiving he trudged into New York to rectify a satalitte feed problem). Anyway, should anybody out there be in television or any production related facility, or know anyone, or whatever ... he is looking for a change. My email is bronjones1@aol.com My husband is named Lee, he can be emailed at bnavlen@home.com. Through Maplewoodonline I've gotten a cleaning lady, sold a lawnmower and weed wacker, bought a jogging stroller, made some friends, and bought a few other things which I am spacing out on ... anyway, why not a job? |

Algebra2: Try repeating this post in the new WORK directory which has been set up for posting of resumes and related job wanted/help wanted postings. Good luck. |

Algebra2, I was reading in an older thread that your mother grew up in Milton, MA. My father did as well, then attended the BCs (high school and college). I'll have to ask him what street sometime. |

Algebra2 this seems as much like signing a guestbook as anything available. Thanks for stopping by the site. Enjoy your posts out here and think we have a pretty similar CD collection from the look of things. Has your hubby found work? I sure hope so. Anyway. Thats it for now. What, by way of conversation, is in your CD player right now?` |
