Sure, the term "rocks" gets thrown around a lot....but there are times that "rocks" is the only word that can be used. It's true. Going to the face to face today was amazing. So many faces. I had no idea that Dave and Jamie had to pay New Hampshire state income tax on every three hundred letters/characters used on the site. The server alone takes up a few hundred square feet I am told.

buzzsaw - when we met the other day, I thought you looked familiar. Is the Hoboken train the reason???

Pippi - Maybe. Unless you were one of the four people that watched my weekly cable TV show in Erie PA. It focused mainly on weather, beer and local intrest (beer, ice fishing and cooking). I was offered a job as a weekend night weatherman for the NBC station out here. I said no. Not sure why. I wonder what my life would have been like had I taken that job. Someone said to me that people on the Hoboken train seem a lot nicer than the NY Penn train. I tend to agree. When I goto Penn it's a whole thing....the calling of the track...the running to the track....the squeezing into the seat.... The hoboken ride is like the magic bus. I had a dream that Bob Dylan wrote a song for me and sang it to me. The jist of the song was that life was a hard road, but the hard road makes you stronger. Something like that. Then I said "hey - you have to hear this album". I put on blood on the tracks. He look at me strange and I woke up. This was at 4am. I have been up since. |

never saw the acble show. Have little interest in weather and ice fishing. Beer, only moderate interest. I have discovered I don't like "hop-y" beer. That's about as interesting as it gets. see you on the magic bus...

I got beck's new album Guero. WOW. Wow-we wow-we. It's really good. There is a song on there called "e-pro" that I can not stop listening to. If this song were a hot dog - I would win that hot dog eating contest over in coney island. There would be no need to soak the bun in water. I could eat it as is.

I can't describe this photo. I took it. But I can't describe it. My wife HATES it. My photo teacher made us title all of our photographs. I would title this "robots invade venus".
Speaking of robots and venus. I was listening to the radio (as one does) and they mentioned that the next song was by strawberry alarm clock. I love those bad psychedelic bad names. I came up with a few more: paranoid vending machine out of state traffic jam blueberry shoe shine The happy toaster the green lantern of love expansive dream buckets the yard sale in your mind deep fried hiccups bubbly tax writeoffs wildflowers of mass transit Thank God it's Friday.

Dave - I love that picture. Just what I needed. Something to smooth out the edges in my Monday morning mind. I had the kind of weekend where I found I had to drink coffee this morning. I rarely drink coffee. I'd say three times a year. Hold on....taking a sip...... Not bad. But this stuff makes me so crazy. Yeah. I am not tired, but I am jumpy like the jumping beans of old. I have a friend that goes through two pots day. Wha!?! I would have to goto Belleview if I did that. I started my veggie garden this weekend. I decided to try carrots along with my peppers and tomatoes. We'll see what happens there. A friend of mine grows them every year. I am not a big carrot eater - but I ate one right from the ground. Just pulled it out and washed it off with the old garden hose. It was like sugar. I feel like this:

I am pretty sure there was a ghost in my house last night. I am not someone that is quick to jump to the "ghost" conclusion, but I am someone who thinks there are ghosts. I don't think my house is haunted either - even though I understand that someone died peacefully and naturally there. When I first walked into the house where I now live an older gentleman was living there and it was a bit....dank. That said - it had an amazing vibe. I had looked at many houses up to that point and many were nice and in move in condition - but they didn't have that vibe I was looking for....that feel. I offered the man what he was asking for right there. ((a side note this was before the big boom I would never be able to afford this place or ANY place in mwood/so now)) Anyway....last night's haunting.... I have a pretty big family. Made that way by considering people that aren't exactly "blood" part of our family. One of these family members were "Betty and Bub" and older couple that were great friends of my mother's parents. Bub passed away a few years ago and betty just passed away. We were really the closest family they have no kids or family near by - so we had to clean out their house and get it ready to be sold now that they were both gone. Not a fun task - but something that has to be done. So when it was all over I took a small suitcase home last night filled with all the things that had good memories attached or things that Bub wanted to save (he was a big saver ... postcards ... newspaper clippings...yearbooks...matches..) So I went to bed and the suitcase was sitting there all alone on my chair. At 1am ish there was all kinds of banging and sounds coming from my stairs and what sounded like my basement. OK. It freaked me out. I got up. Checked doors. Looked outside. Poked around and had a big gulp of ice tea. I got up this morning and the suitcase had been moved. That's all I am saying.

Creepy....was the suitcase moved from the chair or was it in a different position on the chair (not that it really matters, but I'm trying to get a visual). I've got chills and I'm not a big "there's a ghost in the house" kind of person either.... |
