I wish. These are photos from a wine bar called The Majestic. It exists in what used to be the foyer of The Majestic Theatre in Jersey City. The theatre proper is now condos. The original patina on the walls is amazing — it makes me think of grape vines. |

Friday. Can I get an "amen"? This was a long week. For no specific reason the work week just kind of took a long time to end. I have been looking into the possibility of getting a teaching job in NJ. They have something called the alternate route program that I am looking into. Of course I hear they really need science and math - and I suck at that. Though maybe now that I am not in Jr High and consumed by hormones I might be able to digest it. I saw Jonny Sac yesterday. The guy from the Soprano's. I don't know his real name. Anyway - he was just standing on the sidewalk downtown smoking a cig. For some stooooopid reason I said "Jonny Sac" and he looked at me and gave me a nod. It made my walk home. I love that show. I have no idea why the Soprano's take so long in between seasons. I hear this is the last season. I hate the kid that plays Tony's son. Or I hate the way he is on the show. If that were my kid I'd kick his in an old fashon way. Thank God it's Friday. Can I get an "amen"!!

I would be lying if I said that I was happy to be back at work. I went into Maplewood Village on Sunday about 1p and got the dream parking spot. Town was empty. Everyone was in their yards. The smell of BBQ was all around. The smell of victory. As is customary on a Sunday night when I don't want to go to work - I had strange stressfull dreams. In my dream I was in a parking garage looking for my car. Thing was I couldn't remember what kind of car I drove. Then. I realized I was supposed to be catching a train because I didn't own a car. Good times! This is a special time of year. The great thaw. Everyone is coming out of their holes and poking around the yard. Right now I am in a climate controled cube counting down time and keeping my head above water. favorite Beatle: George Harrison

S.O.Lady - it seems that was a one time thing. No hauntings to speak of. It was a good ghost anyway. The bad ghosts are the ones that don't leave. |

musicme - I can't tell if that is a cat or a dog. I do know that it likes to rock.
There are 256 days left in this year. How do I know? The desk calendar has that bit of information on each page. I find this fact disturbing. Where does time go? A watched pot never boils and a Monday never ends soon enough. Unless you are off on a Monday. FAVORITE PASTA SHAPE: farfalle |

When I was in Jr. High the Doors were where it was at. I listened to them so much that I stopped listening to them all together for about 15-20 years. Yesterday I listened to a live cd and something came to me. The band was AMAZING. The music is still one of a kind. I never stopped to really listen to Ray, Robbie and John. I was just trying to steal words from Jim. The first two and the last albums are my favorite. Jim's lyrics and his drunken poetry didn't age like the music - from the point of view from my ears. Now Hall and Oates just get better and better with time. Just like the power trio RUSH. What song is it you want to hear? |

music me - thanks - I needed that. Dave - that is some picture. Geddy looks the same. You know - I have always been a proud Rush fan - though I do get a lot of slack for it. I even have read all of Neil Peart's books. |
