Buzz- I had a coworker whose aunt had her UWS apartment covered in tin foil so that she wouldn't have to wear her foil hat at home. An ex had a brother who only left his apartment at night because "they" can't read minds as well as during the day. In the 80s, the best Trivial Pursuit player I knew had a severe case of schizophrenia. He used to check himself into to Hotel Bellevue every so often. That was always a drag because we played T.P. tournaments as partners & he was unbeatable in history and geography; those were his categories in our little team of two. When he was checked in, I couldn't really play. We were both pretty weak on sports, but half the time the questions were easy enough for us to win, anyway. |

I always liked the part in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when Wonka says to Charlie "you know what happened to the boy that got everything he wished for...." "what" says charlie "he lived happily ever after" I was at a party last night and someone said that they could hear my laugh over the noise of a crowded room. I am trying to figure out if that is good. FAVORITE INK FOR BIC PEN: blue/red TIE! |

Only in America can someone turn an old crooked home into an attraction. Now if only J Lo would go away - we could start hanging out again in crooked old homes. Worse than J Lo is American Idol. That show is good for bringing back bad 80's songs only. |

I love they way they use the word "mystery" here. It's a pretty obscure usage. Mystery = unbalence.

"you know that feeling when you are leaning back on your chair and you almost fall - but you catch yourself....I feel like that all the time" ~ Steven Wright I have been having dizzy spells and feelings of vertigo. Maybe it's that new U2 song? Maybe it the fact that I am going to be a Dad again this summer (Good Lord willing). My wife and I have a son - he's almost four. We finally got into a good groove and *BIG BANG* we're having a new one come in to town. I have been thinking to myself "OK. You did it once..you can do it again" and this is ususally when I start to get that rollercoaster feeling. That six flags freefall situation. Don't get me wrong. I am SO thankfull for this and am so excited to be a dad again and to see my son become a big brother. I am just hoping I have the sand to be a good father to both. When I was in St Louis I met this older couple. They were in their late 80's. The kind that call the other "Maw" and "Paw" when talking to each other. They had eight kids. He was in WWII and was shot in the teeth - an amazing man and a strong man. She had this fire inside - you could tell. Someone at the party we were all at said to them, "so your husband worked and you never had a job". I thought she was going to clock this person. I would have loved to have seen that. EDITOR'S NOTE: The kid is picking his nose. I normally don't spell your "yer". Was watching old he-haw shows last night. Though, "yer" is kinda fun to use. OK, and it's not true that I don't normally spell your "yer". I would say I use "yer" 20% of the time. And, Oh- I didn't take the AP Photo of man w/ facial hair. |

10 important things I have learned in my lifetime: 10) Don't rat on your friends 9) Don't chew on foil 8) sticking a nail into an electrical socket will cause a lot of damage. 7) Your family and your real friends will always be there for you. 6) To avoid traffic on the parkway on a sunday in the summer - leave before noon or Monday morning. 5) Never ask a woman if she is pregnant 4) always split aces and eights 3) There is nothing better than a hug from your child 2) Don't look back 1) I know nothing My family has had a large grave plot in Jersey City since the late 1800's. I suppose way back when they thought there would be a shortage of space for the dead or something. I recently had to go there and my father said to me "so, this is where you are going to be buried" The sentece hung in the air. I looked at my shoes. I felt way too mortal. I decided then that I was going to be buried at sea. Strange stuff on my mind today. It's my birthday. I suppose I should think about my birthday in 1977 or 78 when I had a starwars themed party. That was awesome. So. That new Star Wars movie is out. It's weird for me. I remember after Sept11th - I was so certain that something was going to happen to me in NYC or on the way there I was a bit of a mess. I remember asking God, "Please - just let me see that last star wars movie, I want to see how it all ends" Not sure if I am going to see it. But if I don't the terrorists win - right? But then that means I am a nerd. Hmmmm.
