I had the most amazing day. I was in Penn Station today on my way to Bunnies for the big party and I saw someone that looked exactly like me. Sure, I was a little weirded out that my exact double was washing his socks in the men's room sink. I wouldn't do it - but I wasn't about to judge my twin. To be honest - I had to be in two places at once - bunnies and home. I said to this guy, "listen, I can tell you are down on your luck, or at least with out a proper washing machine. As you can tell we are twins. Can you go to this party and pretend you are me. Here, take my credit card (I mean, it's all over the internet anyway). I am going to go home and just relax and you just go to this party as me." This guy was totally into it. He goes to South Orange and I am home watching top gun on DVD. Iceman, I am SO in the danger zone. |

Eliz & Buzzsaw, I'm a bit embarrassed to say this, but I have now been playing a game with myself, kind of like "Where's Waldo?", only it's "Could That Guy Be Buzzsaw?" ...so if I see a cool & perhaps wacky/marchesto his own beat looking kind of guy, I think "hmmm - could be". Don't worry - no stalker tendencies - no time, really.

I have had the song from meatballs in my head today "are you ready for the summer - are you ready for the good times....."

NOTE TO SELF: spam sent to work email is just as bad as spam sent to home email. Sometimes, it feels more honest when it makes it through corporate filters. also.... remember to call fit-it guy for typewriter and toaster.

I feel like I have been punched in the stomach and given winged shoes at the same time. Not sure why. They say in your father's house, there's many mansions - Each one of them got a fireproof floor. I have been thinking a lot about children growing up in these times. Kids aged 8-9-10-11-12-13-14 years - old enough to know what is going on but too young to really know. I remeber being in like 4th grade when that "day after" tv movie came out. That really troubled me. Now kids are watching all this terror as it happens. There is a war going on. It's strange. We all love our children. If we don't have children - we love the idea of the future. Why would someone want to wish harm to the future. It's a floor wax. No it's a dessert topping. Peace to you. |

We all know that ipods can read our mind. Someone tells you that they went fishing and they reeled in a big fish. Next thing "reeling in the years" comes on. There's a thin thread that connects us and "things". I kinda beleive this. It's not something I learned in my many years in Cathloic school. Though that learnin' does give you a slightly bigger view (as long as you don't piss off the nuns). Yesterday I was walking home in the rain and "rain" by the beatles came on. But I have a lot of beatles in my ipod. I posted a picture from the tv show "the twlight zone" of a train conductor on this blog. The episode was called "next stop is Willoughby". It's good one. Check it out. Then that night I had a dream some one drove a plane without wings into a building. Then I got up and saw the news from London. I need to go for a walk. It's Maplewoodstock today. I love this town. It's my own Willoughby. I stare at the nj lottery website and no numbers come to me. Ever.

My cube is part of a big cube that has three other little cubes. I have been sitting with the same few people for a bit and it is kinda like the swamp from M.A.S.H. - with no gin still to speak of. Yesterday a huge metal thing just fell from the celing> baam. I told HR. I told operations. No one cared. This this was a pole vault sized piece of building. It's still there. Even after 24 hours. In a way this place is also like Brazil. Had to go to Long Island today. Such a strange place. It's like the bizzaro NJ. With one really bad road. Montauk is nice. But not a realistic place to live if you need to get to new york city. I always wondered what it would be like to live in a vacation destination all year round. I met an author that lived on Block Island all year round and said that in the winter he likes to talk to him self a lot on paper. I guess that's what writing is.

tell HR that you heard someone was going to call OSHA about the falling ceiling, also the Fire Dept., and whichever NYC dept. that handles building code/safety/etc, besides the fire dept. Make sure that the phone call is already made before you tell them that. |

I have to tell you that if you like mindless R rated comedy - you should go see wedding crashers. Very funny. Vince Vaughn is so funny. His delivery is so honest and on time that anything that comes out of his mouth is funny to some degree. A good friend of mine was a major player in this movie. Riding on my friends coattails I was able to goto the premier last night. Wow. Walking a red carpet is strange. But what's stranger is walking a red carpet and having photographers look so disappointed because I am not famous. And I'm kinda glad I am not. At the reception after - there were all kinds of faces you'd know. All people were saying is, "look it's.......wow much shorter in real life..." I must say to see Christopher Walken was really cool. But what was really cool and who really star struck me was Drea de Matteo. Wow. Wowowow. Wowowowowowow. When I got married, the reception was over at about 6pm. At the time no one was wanting to stop the party. My friend from the movie, myself and two other guys snuck into antoher wedding (this hall had two areas where parties were taking place). My wife was talking to a lot of her family that had flown in from all over so she didn't miss me for the half hour I was in there. One of the fondest memories from my wedding took place at someone else's wedding. I remember being in some dance circle and acting like a fool with a lot of people I didn't know. I think my friend got involved w/ this movie knowing that it would be fun becasue he had crashed a wedding before. He lives in LA and we don't see each other that much. But true friendships are like records on record players. You just put the needle back on and pick up from where you last listened. I'm hungover too.
