Oh my god. One of the most magical places for me..was this wonderful house off of Chancellor Ave, just behind Springfield. It was painted red. They sold allllll sorts of artist supplies. It was set back...kinda rustic.....It was my favorite place ever in Maplewood.... Anyone remember it? |

Alas...I can't Ed....I live in San Jose, CA....but I think if there ever is a preservation committee in Maplewood...this, and the surrounding land needs to be saved....it was always so magical tucked back there...esp since it was off of Chancellor...I think... |

The building is still there, but it is no longer an art supply store. They do things like custom auto painting, and artwork like custom embroidery on T-Shirts, Sweats, Denim etc. I always wondered if it was connected with the old Olympic Park...can't quite tell where the border line would have been. Yes is is off Chancellor Ave. It's a numbered street I think it's 43rd Street. |
