I understand that when the Pool opened in the 1960s, the registration forms were changed. Apparently, the forms initially had a place for the name and ages of the husband, wife and each child. After a concern was raised, the Township Committee approved "Dom. Par." in place of husband and wife.

I am not sure that back in the late 60s and early 70s that they weren't talking about hetro couples "living in sin" as my Momma used to say. :-)

Still the whole subject of MSO and gays is very interesting and the history would be very interesting. Most of the gay and lesbian people we know have moved to MW in the last ten years or so. Any "old settlers" in the gay community want to pipe up?
