I have no financial interest in this, but thought it may interest some of you local historians: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1166612108 Apparently some one is selling a reprint of a 1910 birdseye-view map of Maplewood. Looks interesting! |

Look closely, it's not even the entire town. A complete rip-off. |

Okay. Thanks. Not being a Maplewood resident, I didn't realize it wasn't complete. (I work in town). |

Actually, in 1910 that was about all there was to Maplewood. Most of what are now the Clinton and Tuscan areas were agricultural land. A good portion of what people call Midland Park was an orchard. There was a separate settlement along Springfield Ave. called, if memory serves, Hilton. |

Nah, the map cuts off a section on the right. My parents house on Summit was built around 1900 and their neighborhood isn't on the map. I've got a copy of an engraving of Jefferson Village(now Maplewood) from 1815 that shows a much bigger area. |

This is a copy of a Library of Congress map that is available online. Someone recently posted a link to it on here... My SUSPICION is that is was downloaded, printed, and laminated. John |
