I've always been a local history nut, but while looking at EBay, I came across this:

What year was this? Any idea of where, exactly, the farm was? I suppose on or near Prospect St.

The ebay listing states that it's a 1921 ad.

It is interesting that the owner kept an office on Ferry Street in Newark, which I believe is in the business district. This probably indicates he owned other properties and was essentially in the "agribusiness" as opposed to a family farm.

Originally Prospect Street ran from Parker Avenue to SO Village and connected with a farm owned by the Tichner family. Look at the historic photos on the main page.

In any event Mr. Albright probably sold out to the real estate developers a few years later when Maplewood began to develop as a suburb.
