I am a (fairly) recent MA grad in a social science field. Job opportunities in my field in this area are fairly limited right now, so I've been looking elsewhere for employment. Unfortunately, I went straight through with my education, so I don't have that first "career" on my resume and therefore most places believe I am suited for nothing.

After some careful consideration, I've come to realize that I simply don't have the network sufficient to get my resume past the huge stack of other nondescript resumes. Therefore, I'm hoping to find a local recruiter or headhunter that would be willing to assist me in my job search. I've been out of school for a bit, so time is of the essence.

I'm ideally looking for someone who can see the potential that I have and assist me to find a job where my skills are a plus and my youth is not a detriment. I'm flexible as to the industry, but my skills are best in the legal or non-profit fields. I have no sales or business experience, but I have spent some time in user support.

Geographically, I'm hoping to stay in Northern/Central Jersey, but Manhattan isn't out of the question- as long as the job is fairly close to Penn Station.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions that I'm given.
