Ed is driving at least one fellow MOL-er up to the PSG Orientation Meeting this Wednesday. Leaving Maplwood at noon for 1PM - 4PM Orientation at NJDOL Offices in Dover. PSG is sort of like free outplacement for unemployed professionals in North Jersey. No cost to the unemployed or the employers. A totally volunteer thing. Ed went thru it a few years ago and now helps PSG out on stuff. There is one state employee part time to oversee the 300 at any time members. Check out www.njwpin.org? Google PSG? Not sure. But the http:www yadda yadda is when you drill down within NJ State website to Dept of Labor to PSG to Dover and get to the Dover website. OK. That is what Ed asked me to post, as he is busy visiting a museum with my daughters as we speak. You can privite line him or Jackie Herships who also knows about PSG. Or call. The deal is that since Ed is going up Wednesday may as well intro a few people at same time, who could go thru the resume, interviewing, practice interviews, networking, etc. together. And car pool. Also train goes to Dover. Bye. |

Ed: Is this service available to people entering the job market for the first time (recent college graduates with professional and/or technical degrees; professional/technical students looking for internship positions, etc.) or is prior journeyperson or higher work experience in a professional or technical field a prerequisite? |
