An area that is somewhat private (people need a username/password to read) where jobs and résumés can be posted. Any other talk of work-related, on-the-job stuff is also welcome. Freelancers welcome. Spam not (no vacuum and encyclopaedia salespeople especially ;-). No pyramid schemes either, please. | ||

Another networking idea is to create a topic in Member Profile area, where you can post a résumé and other information, including links to Web sites, etc. Thanks to Lisat for idea for this topic. | ||

Check out the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services' job opportunities listings at http://www.nyc.gov/html/dcas/html/employ.html for a current listing of job opportunities with the City of New York. There are always lots of different kinds of jobs listed here and they really are available. Only cautions are that some, but not all, require taking and passing a competitive examination first and many require New York City residency at time of appointment.
