I have a program that needs to be re-written, but have no access to the code. It is an end-user interface to a database, originally written in FoxPro. I am looking for someone to * recreate the database search program (I think in VB-I'm not sure) and give it a 21st century look-and-feel * recreate the reports * use the program as a guide for the specs * 4x/year take in new data and update minor changes to the program. Please post your phone number here and I will ocntact you. Thanks. |

Does it have to be in VB? |

No, it's currently in FoxPro and VB was my best guess. |

If you're ok with not using VB, I'd be happy to take a look. I'm a software developer with 20+ years of experience. Please send me some details about what your requirements are, to mudge@hushmail.com Thanks. |

I do postgresql interface work. I am not crazy about doing gui's yet, (because i SUCK at them =) ) But I'd be happy to write some interface code for you. This could be a good incentive to learn a Gui extension to c++ or C. I dont need to be doing any conversions right? I know SQL, so Databases are cool with me. I am a geek in High School. I have very little real world experience.I have been into programming for about 2.5 years now. I am a manic coder too. (Sudden productivity sputrts, followed by dabbling around in IRC or AIM) How about those credentials? =) Seriously though, this sounds neat, Would you consider open sourcing it? Open Source != Free(as in beer) Software in case you are wondering. -enigmabomb- |
