Energetic and self-motivated graduate student seeks employment opportunities, preferably in the legal sector or as an administrative assistant. While my background is in international affairs, I have an open mind as to employment. Like so many in recent years, I chose to sit out the soft job market by proceeding staight to graduate school to complete my MA in a social science field. I will be officially completing this in May, but am attending part-time during the spring. While looking for employment, I have been submitting resumes and cover letters to many, many positions. Unfortunately, I lack office experience, so I have been unsuccessful thusfar. I am motivated and a fast learner who is seeking an opening for stable employment while I begin to pay off my student debt. I intend to stay in the area, and have low salary requirements. Even if you do not have any open positions, I would love to have advice on how to overcome the education/experience problem. Apparently even after I complete my MA, without experience I am qualified for... McDonalds.  |
