I don't know if there's a local need for this either on an individual or institutional level, but I'm offering myself up in any case because it's something I've enjoyed and have had success with. I live in Maplewood.

As a collegiate forensic competitor I was an NFA National Champion in "After-Dinner Speaking" in 1990 and ranked among the top ten public speakers in the country. I also won the Massachusetts State Championship in "Persuasive Speaking" in 1989.

Since then, I've coached the forensic/speech & debate programs at Queens College, St. Jospeh's University, Seton Hall University, and the University of Pennsylvania, during which I coached a number of national finalists and champions in a variety of events.

In 2002, I was inducted into the National Forensic Association "Hall of Fame," the highest honor in national collegiate forensics.

If you know of anyone from a professional executive to a middle or high school student looking to conquer a fear of public speaking or excel competitively, feel free to send me an email at joelslogans@aol.com.
