Does it exist in the area? I work fulltime in a job I very much enjoy. I've been in the same position for over ten years as an executive secretary/personal assistant. I am torn. I love my job and get great perks and vacations time BUT I think I may need to look at part time opportunities. I am a jack-of-all trades. I've done it all. I am one of a dying breed who still takes dication. You name it -- I've most likely done it. I party plan, do travel arrangements, I can create a mean spreadsheet .... My ultimate would be to find one or two clients who could use me 25 hours/week.

Any suggestions would be so very welcome. I'm really torn up about this but I think I may need to move on ...

I work part time from home as a freelance bookkeeper, and have sometimes filled in as a personal assistant/secretary when need be for clients who have trouble understanding the difference. I got my clients through a CPA firm which I know one of the partners . It sounds like you are looking for the same type of client I have (people with lots of money who often need their hands held through life's daily challenges). My best advice is to ask any CPA's, attorneys, or other service professionals you know if they are aware of any situations. People rarely advertise these jobs and wealthy people are often wary of hiring someone off the street.

Lots of dr offices need part time receptionist/booking help, but they don't pay well. I know Dr. Fried was looking for a receptionist recently.

I would also think there are administrative headhunters/temp agencies in the area who could help you.

Finally check out hotjobs.com and monster.com. I have seen both full and part time admin jobs in the area.

I am going to look into it but I don't see me ever leaving where I am -- unless they "ask" me to leave. I am a creature of habit. Maybe, maybe ....
