I have been selling my art and my dad's art. (His is selling really well)! We think it's time to begin licensing his work. Anyone already licensing their artwork? I need advice and thoughts on what prices we can expect for things. Thanks! |

What kind of art is it? Paintings? I'm an image researcher and I license work for book publishers now. What you might consider doing is signing up with an agency that has websites already. If you're affiliated with a gallery, they might have something set up as well.

I sold more art at a tradeshow, but just got a flat fee. Pottery Barn said they didn't do licensing, and then were talking about using the art for tabletop, wall art, sheets, etc.! I think my dad's art is especially showing licensing potential and want to work on getting the money he deserves! Thanks for some ideas! |
