I am an early childhood special educator with over 10-years experience working with children who have varying delays. (Asperger's Syndrome, autism, PDD-NOS, S.I. disorder, speech delays, recently adopted, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, apraxia, processing delays, brain injury, general motor delays, other medical issues, ADHD/ADD, behavior management issues, etc.) Most of my work takes place within homes, schools, and the community. I work with children aged birth -to- five years. Although I have ABA training, I do not provide ABA services. (Frequently my work includes helping children generalize the skills they are learning through ABA into a natural environment.) I use a "Floorplay" developmental approach to learning developed by Stanley Greenspan, helping children with social skills development, speech and language skills, physical devlopment, cognitive development, and self-help skills. My work includes helping children generalize the skills they are learning with the help of their other therapists. (i.e. speech, occupational, and physical therapists), and carrying those skills over to their home and/or school environments. I am relocating my business from TriBeCa to be closer to home, here in Essex County. I have numerous references from parents, therapists, and school directors that I can make available upon request, as well as my resume.
