Hi, I have an immediate need to put a developer onsite at a company in Manhattan. It could turn into a longer or fulltime position. Send resumes, etc, to corp@minimalist.com Here's the basic description: Seeking a Project Manager/ Software Engineer to manage technology operations and oversee product development for educational assessment tool, including data management and reporting. Must enjoy working within a fast-paced, innovative environment with a focus on creative problem-solving and multitasking. Will oversee day-to-day systems operations while planning and managing longer-term product development, including identifying, hiring, and managing developers. Some hands-on development skill also necessary for problem-solving and product development needs. Desired Skills and Experience: • Algorithm design and analysis knowledge • Strong understanding of high-availability and scalable platform architecture. • Experience in server-side technologies and database integration issues • System Administration (RedHat Linux) • Database Administration (MySQL) • Webserver Administration (Apache) • Software Engineering (PHP,BASH, Flash all a plus) • Proficiency with Object Oriented methodologies • Proficiency with data mining, reporting, and statistics • Interest and experience in assessment technologies a plus. Job Requirements: • Oversee and manage product development web-based educational assessment technologies, including hiring and project management with consultants • Communicate with management and clients about software needs • Assure computer equipment, hardware, and software is updated to meet organizational needs. Education: * BS/MS in CS or related field. Work experience preferred. Personal: * Understanding of start-up culture and expectations. * Excellent problem-solving skills. * Strong decision-making and project-management skills. |
