We're taking our daughters (age 14 and 9) to a hotel for an overnight in Parsippany. It's a nice way of getting to swim, getting away, and spending some time together as a family. Anyway, if anyone has some good restaurant recommendations in that area, I'd love to hear them. Thanks.

Yes...when we went to a hotel in Parsipanny we ate at Chand Palace, a wonderful Indian Place. It was probably a ten minute drive from the hotel, in a small strip mall. There are lots of big chains over there too, but this place was a real treat. I believe the menu is vegetarian, it was delicious and cheap.

Jon: What a great idea. Hope you and Barbara and the girls have a great, relaxing time. I hear the Bleak House B&B is okay.

a great family restaurant is the reservoir tavern-which is rt 202 right before the new reservoir bridge. it is actually in parsippany near the boonton border. If you are staying at embassy suites it is right down the road a couple of miles. Italian food-great pizza etc. they pack em in though-don't know about reservations.

Reservoir has great pizza. Fuddruckers on 46 is very kid friendly and has good burgers. Eccola on 46 has good Italian, but might not be very kid friendly.

Funny you ask - I'm meeting a friend for dinner next Friday and Parsippany is about halfway between us... keep the suggestions coming. I'd rather not Italian because I'm going out for Italian that Saturday night, and I don't think she really does very ethnic foods.

Jasper's on rt. 46 has stellar chinese food. great to eat and lovely to look at -

the resevoir has good food and an old 'Jersey atmosphere. we were raised on the fresh garlic pizza and pitchers of that old fashioned soda - birch beer.

The resevoir is a must---no reservations, but WELL WELL worth the wait. When I was 10, 14 etc., that's where my family would go for dinner out; you'll love it.

While we're on the subject of Parsippany dining options, are there any Thai restaurants within the town's borders? My research hasn't turned up any, and the only restaurant I know of in the area is Thai Chef in Denville. Any options would be appreciated, thanks!
