I guess I just felt weird about seeing the "disappointment" thread title pop up when in reality the dialogue was turning positive.

Yes, I was impressed with Chris's response, too. I didn't realize he was the owner, or I would have tried even harder to get his attention on Saturday night. My husband kept telling me not to get up and ask if there was a problem. He's a suffer in silence type, I usually like to speak up.

My husband and I have always had positive experiences at Cent'anni, and consider it one of our favorite restaraunts. I'd also like to give a shout out to Michelle at the bar and Jess on the waitstaff. When we moved to Maplewood a year ago, Cent'anni was the first restaraunt that we attended, and because of them, it has become a staple for a weekend out.

Chris, I think you're doing a good job. It's good to hear that you're taking the criticism positively, and there are those of us out there that appreciate your hard work.

I love Cent'anni---noticed the same thing about the serving system when it gets busy (i.e., one doesn't know what the other is doing), but the food is so good and its no big deal--so it never stops us from going back (sometimes once a week!)

thanks dobler - the comments re service have been duly noted and new procedures are being put in place to address, and thanks to everyone for the positive feedback - it's good to know we're doing some things right
