 Just to verify: 7 pm?

If so, does that mean 7 pm? or at 7 pm people start arriving to head in to dinner about 8 pm?

Very much looking forward to this. Thanks for facilitating, Mem!

Las - you sort of arrive and dine in the same place.. so there is no place to head into.. so yea.. 7 p.m..... remember there are two kinds of people.. the quick and the hungry.. (but I'm sure Jessie will have plenty of food for all)

SoOrLady is correct about plenty of food. If I remember from last time las, most of us arrived pretty much at 7:00 and we mingled and drank our byob for maybe 20 minutes or so until Jesse put out the food. I'm going to PL you about possibly getting a ride from the South Orange train station - haven't yet figured out my schedule and whether I want/need to stop at home first. See you all tonight. And, of course, thanks again to Mem.

If the menu had a guaranteed Fish or Veggie dish I could eat I would probably have gone to this. Same for last time. I would like to meet you guys some day but I'm waiting for the right F2F. Maybe the H2A meetup will be better.

I too fantasized about crashing Las' bday party.

Ditto to the above - thanks mem and thanks for everyone's wonderful company. And of course a hearty thanks to Chef Jesse and his family. Scrumptious, simply scrumptious. Now I'm going to bed so I can wake up early and try to start working off my second helping of ribs.

Oh, man was that some good food. To say that Chef Jesse lived up to the reputation he has on this board would be an understatement. I will surely be back.

Thanks to mem for organizing, and a special thanks to Kim, who apparently drew the short straw and had to sit at the kids' table. You were very gracious (and thanks for making sure my kids didn't take down the room divider there at the end when we were getting ready to leave.)

I wish I could've met more of you crazy MOL'ers but I am really happy to have met those of you I did! Hope to see you again soon.

Thanks for organizing this! It was great to meet other MOLers, as well as trying a restaurant I had never been to.

 When's the next one?

 Suzanne-
No, I didn't make it. I had spoken with Jessie earlier in the week about an alternative to what was on the menu as I can't eat things with spices. He was willing to let me go and hang out but not eat. When I realized though the limited space he had I thought it was unfair of me to take the space of a paying customer.

It worked out for the best because I got held up until about 8:30pm tonight anyway.

 Mem-
I thought I sent you an email letting you know this. I'm going to have to check my 'sent' folder to see if my mail bounced back.

It is so much fun getting to know you all and give business to a local at the same time.

Thanks Mem and Jesse, it was a happy but sad time...

... I was happy to be at H&S again, but sad I didn't take seconds on the ribs, I was happy to bring my daughter Erin, but sad Libby couldn’t be there as well, I was happy to see such a good turn out, but sorry to have to leave all those happy supportive Molers so early...

Here are a couple of photos that capture the festivities
(sorry for the delay - been inundated with homework)(
  ):
Mem and the Mayor toast a great evening

Pippi and Notehead toast each other

Mayhew, Elaine and Scully patiently await the next course

Mayor McCheese and Suzanne also await the next course

Dinner was followed by accoustic guitarists and drinks at HTTA, of course.

Thanks for putting it together, Mem!

Who left behind a beautiful scarf and a wine bottle bag? One of the four ladies at the table by the wall. Please call me to claim it. 973-763-7660

With Wendy and las? That was some crew. The yelling, the name calling, the singing... And I think I saw Wendy raise a fist to pizzaz. Wait a second, maybe I just had too much wine.

And the reason you didn't tell Elaine that I called you that night to tell you that Elaine had it is???? Let me guess, you want Elaine to think I shirked my responsibility and therefore she'll now tell everyone.

Unfortunately, there are lots of reasons I can't organize one. I'm already falling down on commitments I've made so I definitely can't add any new ones.

It's just that I saw the thread rise to the top and thought that someone else was doing so which was the reason for my earlier post.
