We'll be in the area for a weekend in April -- too early for Rye Playland. Any other ideas for fun things to do with kids ages 5 and 10? Has anyone been to the maritime museum in Norwalk? Other thoughts?

Peabody Natural History Museum in New Haven (about 40 minutes away). Lots of dinos.

I've heard good things about the Norwalk museum, although I haven't been there.

If your kids like to skateboard, there are several good parks in the area.

The Maritime center in Norwalk is great for kids.

Love the Maritime Museum, which has an Imax. There's a cute area within a few blocks called SoNo with funky restaurants (plenty are kid friendly) and shops. http://www.culinarymenus.com/historicsono.htm
