I'm craving stuffed grape leaves and chicken souvlaki (sp?) - where can I get good Greek Food?

There's a nice, small place in Montclair but I would love to find someplace closer. Any suggestions?

if you want take out and prepared foods and supplies and all sorts of food and beverages Greek, try the Greek Store in Kenilworth. Its not a sitdown restaurant (at least it wasnt). I think they have a website...its got just about everything you'd want.

The place in Montclair (have you tried it, SK?) is called Greek Delights. It's in an old diner car and I think the food is excellent.

The "only in America" hilariousness is that there ain't no Greeks associated w/ the restaurant!! They are Peruvians who used to work for Greeks and decided to open a Greek restaurant. I can say that the food is yummy--having lived in Astoria for 10 years and having been conceived in Mykonos, I oughta know...

Now, if I could only go to Greece.

What I'd really like to see is some Greeks open up a Peruvian restaurant...!

Be well and dine well, all.

Greek Delights is awesome. Very nondescript, very delicious food. To me, it is worth the drive.

The only other Greek restaurants in NJ that I can think of are called It's Greek to Me; one is in Ridgewood, another in Englewood, and another in Fort Lee.

I find that the best Greek food is in NYC, especially in Queens, but now we are getting well out of the "local" range.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I agree Greek Delights is great - since nothing is closer I guess I'll be spending more time in Montclair!

Here's a shop in Kenilworth. Not a restaurant but great store.
