It appears that the temporary halt in what had been an extraordinarily successful early run for the intrepid operators of "Amazing Hot Dog" may result in not only the reopening of that eatery in a month or so, but also an opportunity for SOMA to perhaps (with some luck and the right storefront) snag the second location of that esteemed eatery, per recent communication by one of them, to wit:
"Matt and I have begun scoping out possible second locations in our free time(of which we have alot of) If there is a spot in your area that is available and you drive by and say "THAT would make a great spot for an AMAZING HOT DOG", please let me know. Thanks again for all your support.
Eric Eisenbud"

Have not visited since they've re-opened, but the word on the eGullet site is that AHD is better than ever! (and they have a powered ketchup dispenser, and a new hot dog named the Phoenix) |

I went on Saturday afternoon, and I was a little disappointed. Hot dog was fine, but fries were soggy and greasy. I was there once before the fire, and it was the same.
I think it's hilarious that they keep a big bottle of Tums on the counter! |
