Friends of our just moved to Addis Ababa for a 2-4 year stint with the CDC. My husband and I were thinking of visiting, but have no idea what it would be like, what the health and safety issues might be, etc. We're a bit adventurous, but this would be far-flung for us. Clearly our friends can fill us in, but we were curious if anyone else had ever been. Also not sure the best way to get there. Not a lot of direct flights. Or the best time of year to go. |

I have a sister and her family in Kenya, who I believe went to Ethiopia in the last year or so. They're missionaries, so they tend to go to small villages, but I'll find out.
