We enjoyed the Wilderness Lodge (not the campgrounds, the hotel). Nicely located near Magic Kingdom. |

If you have kids (and maybe even if you don't) the Animal Kingdom Lodge is fantastic. |

We just went in April and stayed at the Swan (with Starwood points, it's a Westin). It's right near the Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Boardwalk. That area is great because you can either walk to Epcot and Disney-MGM or take a boat. It's much faster than the bus to the other parks. We found that we had most of our dinners either at Epcot, MGM, or the Boardwalk. I haven't stayed at the Yacht or Beach Club or Boardwalk, but we walked past all three hotels and they all looked great. I used this website: www.allearsnet.com to help plan my trip. It has a lot of information on everything, but also photos and facts on each hotel in Disney.

The Grand Floridian. We stayed there in November and it was everything they advertised. It was great. Sign up for Disney Express and they'll pick your luggage up at the airport and deliver it to your room while you board the shuttle to the hotels (this is for most of the Disney resorts I think). The GF is on the monorail. |

Animal Kingdom Lodge was excellent. Nice pool, great restaurants (Boma, I recall). Animals grazing outside your windows. |

Went to the Beach Club in April . . . perfect. It is situated at an entrance to Epcot which was very handy for meals! Good luck |

Are you traveling with kids? I am lucky enough to do some work for Disney hotels and have managed to stay at most of them. So since it's work, I usually travel alone. Disney is not the funnest place alone, but I have still throroughly enjoyed their resorts. Here are my opinions: Beach and Yacht Club are my favorite. It is by far the best pool on property. (They share a very large pool.) So if you are with kids, I would stay here. Yacht club has a good steakhouse. Boardwalk is great as well. I like the restaurants, shopping, etc. available right at the hotel. (This one of the better places to hang out if you are alone.) Animal Kingdom Lodge is amazing. You can literally wake up and watch a giraffe eat breakfast outside of your room. Ask for a Savannah view. Wilderness Lodge is very nice. Great lobby and atmosphere. Polynesian is undergoing some rennovations. Disney does a good job at this and sometimes you don't even realize it's happening, but you may want to check when you make the reservations that you're in a new area and not somewhere near the current work. Contemporary - I wouldn't stay here, but the restaurant at the top is great and if you time it right, you can see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. The only one I haven't been able to stay at is The Grand Floridian, which I have heard is the nicest property. |
