10 of us will be heading out in the city and we couldn't get a reservation at Peter Luger like many of us wanted to? Can anyone recommed another restaurant for 10 guys to go, hang out, eat ,drink and have a good time that's fairly nice and not a dump |

It all depends when this night out is. I would definately say that you have a better shot at sparks than at Peter Luger's. |

Or maybe Ben & Jack's Steakhouse. I have never been there, but I have heard great things. I keep suggesting good steakhouses because you said that many wanted peter luger's. |

Morton's Steakhouse or, here's one I've been wanting to try for a while, Blue Smoke - it's barbecue, but not like Virgil's or Texas BBQ. |

Ben and Jack's is a very good alternative to Peter Luger's. A lot more convenient since it's in midtown Manhattan and the food is very similar to Luger's. Alternatively, if you want to downscale it a bit there's Churascharria Plataforma on 49th and 9th. All the Brazilian grill you can eat although at times they almost seem to rush you out to turnover the place. |

Blue Smoke is really good, much better than Virgils. Would also recommend Keens Steakhouse, which I prefer over Mortons. Its also right by Penn Station for a easy commute home. For a change of pace try Toldeo on East 36th Street. Fantastic Spanish food. |

Delfrisco's or one of the many Palm Steak Houses are solid choices. If your looking for a bit more outrageous you could try the Penthouse Executive Club. We went here for a bachelor party (on the 2nd floor which was a bit more private) and the food was actually pretty good (of pretty high quality). Yes it was expensive, but there was nice eye candy. It's certainly more manly than what Josh offered. |

If you're dead set on steak, there's Gallagher's on the West Side, and Smith & Wollensky on the East Side. |

I 2nd the Churascurria Plataforma - what more could that much testosterone ask for? Unlimited meat, outstanding salad bar with raw bar, salad, pastas, sushi, etc., and all the eye candy a man could want. Make reservations now. |

Keens Steakhouse is awesome! It is sort of near the Empire State Building. Here's a write-up: In continuous operation since 1885, Keens Steakhouse offers diners a quintessential "Old-New York" experience. Well known for serving a delicious mutton chop, the steaks and sides are also top-notch. |
