I gotta say I've been won over by VT's more expansive menu and larger dining area, but I think that the pies and various other baked specialties available at both places are great. That said, let me add that having been a patron family of RG since 1986, I have developed certain emotional attachments to the place and its owners which VT doesn't share. So, to answer your question: "Which is better, Roman Gourmet or Village Trat?" The answer is: Arturo's! -s. |

Yesterday I had the hot chicken with mozzarella, roasted pepper, arugula and balsamic vinegar on pizza bread for lunch ($4.50) and then had the fried calamari pizza for dinner. I LOVE Village Trattoria. |

Hmmmm....love both! Both are good with the kids, both have yummy meals. BUT...for a more "dining" atmosphere, I'd have to go with VT. |

I don't care for Roman Gourmet's sauce, so I prefer the Trattoria |
