Just wanted to report on the amazing meal we had at Verjus Friday night. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers, entrees and the dessert we shared. We were so relaxed (and full!) we even lingered over a cup of coffee, which is rare for us. And the wine I choose from their Spring wine tasting was suberb. Jane, the owner, was attentive and charming. We can't wait to go back! Bon Appetit!

The spring wine tasting menu is very good and quite reasonable. I love BYO's but when I see a restaurant offering good wine selections at reasonable prices, I'm very happy. |

OK- so here's what we had: Me: arugula salad with roasted tomato and goat cheese (the tomato was amazing- and I don't even like cooked tomato usually!) Pan seared scallops over angel hair pasta in a cream sauce with mushrooms Chocolate truffle cake for dessert Hubby: asparagus salad atlantic salmon with rice and wilted cucumber I had a pinot gris from their spring wine list (hubby had a gin and tonic- no imagination!) I also enjoy BYO, though it's become so common in the area, that every so often a liquor license is nice! (Now I'm hungry!!) |
