Yes! Are you planning on going to the Wine and Blues festival? I highly recommend it! This will be the third year in a row for me.

We love Waterloo Village. Very pretty and lots of great living history. We plan to go to the Wine/Blues Festival this weekend.

The festival is this coming weekend on Sat and Sun. The past two years there have been 2 or 3 stages (gazebo size, etc) with different blues groups. The music has been very good. There are a lot of food vendors, but more gourmet-type than you would usually see at a fair. Things like foccacia and roasted veggies and all sorts of yummy things. Food has been very good, too. And of course, there are tasting tents set up for the 15-20 or so wineries in NJ. Some of the wine is pretty good (I've liked Alba vineyard the best so far). You can get tickets ahead of time online- highly recommended- you don't have to wait in a long line to get in- and its $17 which gets you a wine glass and entry into the festival. There have been things for the kids, too like pony rides and stuff. People have brought coolers other years, too.

Its going to be a nice sunny weekend, its only $17, so I would recommend bringing a blanket or some chairs and you can get pretty much everything else there.

Have fun! I'm looking forward to it :-)

Anyone know range of stuff for kids? Bringing son, 6.5 and daughter, 4.

Enjoy and be well, all.

We had a nice time. Some wine quite nice, nothing knock-your-socks-off but next year will go with van room and buy some I enjoy. Kids dealt pretty well, got there early enough (noonish) to park close by and get shady chair/blanket space. Music enjoyable and loud enough but not too loud for family setting...a major blessing.

Will organize roadtrip next summer--keep it in mind.

Imbibe well, all.

We went 2 years running with our kid, who was 10-11 at the time. Agree on the wine, but some excellent food to be had. Face painting, crafts, games and other kid-friendly activities. Beatiful, bucolic -- and the old you'd never know you were in Jersey applies. Bring a camera. Nobody much loud, aggressive or annoying, or overly yuppie -- just pleasant mix of people.

It didn't seem like there was as much for the kids as previous years, so I apologize if I led you to beleive there would be more :-)

I agree that the crowd, though large, was pleasant.

What were your favorites? I liked the Fiesta (Cranberry Sangria) from Belleview and the Old Mill Red from Alba.

I live just a few miles from Waterloo Village in Byram. You should have stopped over for a visit.

Be well, all.
