Where's the nearest 24-hour diner? I'd settle for one that's open past midnight too! |

Forgetable, overpriced and the food is mediocre. Union Plaza (Rte 22 center strip in Union)has better food, but is high priced. Echo Queen (Rte 22 East bound in Mountainside) is good and the prices are reasonable. A far trip though. |

Topps Diner in Newark is one of the best in the state, its a short trip through Newark. Its right off 21 in Harrison, believe me you will be glad you made the trip. |

... and another recommendation for Tops Diner. Doesn't matter if it is 10am, 5pm, or 5am, they're open (and usually busy!). And be prepared to take home doggy bags... http://www.thetopsdiner.com/ Jason |

The funny thing is that Tops is both listed as being in both Harrison and East Newark. East Newark seems to be it's own town because of their police force. I have never heard of anything come from the town good or bad so I am unsure of its status in NJ. Either way go enjoy the Breakfast Quesadilla, the best invention in breakfast since scrapple. |
