any suggestions for a nice place for sunday brunch? i'm tired of the diner... i'm thinking a place that has some interesting dishes/combinations. living in the city for years, you sort of get spoiled... also, we have a 5-month old so it has to be a place that will not throw us out when miss audrey decides to serenate the after-church crowd... thanks |

Before they started with their renovations there was a Sunday Brunch at the Village Cellar. Buffet style. Complimentary Bloody Mary or Mimosa for the parents (Can't sell before noon, but complimentary is okay.) Au Jus has one that starts at noon with an ordering menu. Bloody's and Mimosa's are pay as you go. Voro had one with outside seating. VERY expensive, but easy to walk around with baby and very few feathers ruffled. Serving Bloody Marys after noon. Bunny's has outside seating and sells Bloody Marys, no breakfest menu, but I have talked the chef into making omelettes for me when I felt more breakfasty than lunchy. (And no, without Bloody Marys, it's not Brunch.) See you there, J.B. |

There's a wonderful place in Pluckimin (Bedminster) called Willy's Tavern. It's not that far and makes for a nice drive. They are quite large but have small intimate separate rooms. Their buffet is too die for and quite reasonable. Last time was 13.95/person. It might have gone up since then. |

Try dim sum! It's a Chinese brunch! Definitely different, totally casual, lots of great choices and you cannot go wrong. |

Is the city out of the quention? Bubbys in b'klyn has a great brunch, is right at the waterfront with rock "beach" (in Dumbo, I think), a nice park. There was live music when we went recently & one of those fun photo strip machines in back...very kid friendy & awesome food. We parked on the street really nearby. |

Winberie's in Summit. They have outside seating, too. Highly recommended.
