I think it's called The STrip house or strips or something like that at the WEstminster hotel on Rt. 10 - right across from ToyRUs, Circuit City, Old Navy area? |

We ate there last year (June 3 to be exact). We hosted a dinner for our out-of town guests who were staying there prior to our son's bar mitzvah the next day. There were about 15 of us. The food was really good. Some side dishes seemed way too salty - I think that was the mashed potatoes or the creamed spinach. It's pricey but worth it if you like steak. The service wasn't the greatest but I think that has more to do with the fact that we were a large group ordering from a somewhat fixed menu. I remember soup being served and people in our party waiting for soup spoons to arrive; same with coffee. |

We (2 people) went there for New Year's Eve dinner a few years ago. I can't remember what I had, but I remember it was a good experience and liked what I had (I'm a saltaholic, so I probably wouldn't have noticed the saltiness...) |

It's an outpost of a steakhouse in the city. Haven't been to the one out here, but the W. Village one is one of NY's better steakhouses. |

We have been to the Strip House twice, but not in the past year. Once was outstanding. Once was ok-to-good. The ok-to-good was on either Mothers' Day or Fathers' day last, so things were hectic and not quite up to snuff. But the NY Strip steak there is very good; I recall so is the garlic mash. |

Each time I've been there I've been delightfully impressed! Great food, albeit a bit pricey. |

I was there once over a year ago and everything was absolutely incredible. Besides the food being excellent, the atmosphere was perfect. I don't remember details, but I know I left impressed. |

I had my birthday dinner at the one in the city last June. They wanted to charge a "plating fee" for a cake that we wanted to bring for dessert. The fee was $8! I was shocked. We brought our own plates, precut the cake and plastic forks too. they still wanted to charge for it. I will NEVER go back. |

Took the family there shortly after it opened, and was unimpressed with the food relative to the prices charged. High point of the evening: Joe Piscopo was dining a few tables over. -s. |

Hands down, the best steak place in the area-I would recommend over most NYC steak joints. I meet a buddy there 1x/month. The service is excellent, the wine list is above average, the service is impeccable and the creamed spinach with black truffles should be outlawed it is so good. As above people have mentioned, it is not cheap. Expect to pay $75/head for a 3-course meal. The wine will ever increase the fee. Try it--it's a great addition to the area.

Not really knowing what truffles taste like (peasant that I can be sometimes), perhaps that was what gave the creamed spinach the salty taste to me I noted earlier in this thread. I would go back there as well, but for a very special occasion given the prices. As an aside, the hotel was great both for our guests as well as us (we stayed there one night). I would highly recommend it over the Hilton in Short Hills and it's just a bit further but much less costly, imo.
