Since the disappearance of Cravings in Maplewood (which I DEEPLY miss), I need a GOOD caterer similiar to Cravings that has good wraps, sandwiches and side dishes et al for a small party of 20.

Thanks

The Millburn Deli makes great sandwich trays.

I used a combination of Cranes and New World Catering and it was fantastic. Salads and Sides from New World and Sandwiches(they do mini pulled BBQ) and Potato Salad from Cranes.

I also had Cranes do a cheeseplate (you can bring in your own plate if you want).

Cranes and New World are both good, but also surprisingly good was a tray of wrap sandwiches from Shopright either in Millburn or Union. The price was about less and their sides were good and fresh as well. Not quite as upscale and gourmet but really quite good.

Agreed Morrisa. We actually got a wonderful spread from the Millburn Shoprite (my home away from home) many years ago for either my son's 1st year birthday party or for the bris. Food was fresh and good. Perhaps if price is an issue, they can combine Shoprite with Crane's and/or New World. The Parkwood also caters.

If you go with Millburn Deli, be sure to get some Turkey Gobbler sandwiches on your trays.......the best freakin' sandwich in the world, IMHO.

David Ellis Catering does a lot of deliveries in the area...specifically for local realtors...they actually deliver with a huge presentation...and the prices are reasonable

I second David Ellis catering. They did a fabulous Kiddush and Bar Mitzvah for us as well as some smaller more intimate events. Food is delicious and presented beautifully. Price is always reasonable! Try them!

I recommend Fork in the Road (forkintheroadnj.com). It's a relatively new business and their food is delicious. Sara, the chef, has been doing weekly deliveries of soup and sandwiches for several months now (she puts her menu up and you can order for the next week). The sandwiches we've had have been delicious and her website says she does catering as well.

We had Fork in the Road cater our daughter's first birthday party and the food was really, really terrific. Didn't order sandwiches, but really great sides and deserts.
