Well, the search function doesn't seem to be working for me, so I need to ask. Any recommendations for Dim Sum in the surrounding area? I'm planning an early Sunday lunch. I hear that there's one in the Montclair area. Willing to head south since I'm meeting friends staying in Manalapan (which is in Monmouth county along Rt. 9).
Thanks

Try the Joy Luck Pavillon across from the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange. Much closer and quite good.

Thanks for the tip juju. Hopefully, that works for my friend. It certainly is convenient for us. Anyone else have a favorite Dim Sum in the area. By the way, we have to avoid MSG.

Hi Juju or anyone else. I've been calling Joy Luck at this number (973) 243-9288 and nobody has picked up. Are you sure that they're still in business? Anyone have other Dim Sum locations in mind?
Thanks

China Gourmet in West Orange (around corner from Pal's Cabin) also serves dim sum.

I drive past the Joy Luck every day, and there are no indications they are closed, but the parking lot always looks empty.
It is attached to the Turtle Brook Inn, so perhaps calling their main desk, will answer your question.

never mind -- I just called the TB Inn... gentleman at front desk says Joy Luck closed permanently about 2 weeks ago.

Thanks a lot for that info. That saved me a big headache.
