I am looking for a restaurant to have a party after our daughters Christening. It will be for about 25-30 adults and 10-15 children. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. |

Check out the Maplewood Tennis Club on Ridgewood Road. David Ellis Catering is the exclusive caterer for the club and he is fantastic. The facility is really lovely with plenty of parking. Give them a call! David Ellis Catering 973-762-1901} |

A friend of mine had her baby's christening party for about the same amount of people at Cafe Arugula in SO. It was good. |

We did a Communion Party at Verjus for 30 people . Excellent and they can take larger parties. Christening a couple of year ago at Cent'Anni for 30 . Very Good. Went to a B'day party at Brix in Summit. They have a separate room for the kids if you want and the food is great. You can bring your own beer and wine. |

Centanni is a wonderful place, especially if it is on a Sunday. I don't think Chris and Laura open to later in the day to the public, so you would have the place to yourself. The Little Club is a very beautiful, intimate place, but might be a bit more cost prohibitive for that size party. Also, you can hire an offsite caterer who does all the work, staffing, set up, break down etc if you have room at your place. That usually doesn't cost more than going out. I can recommend some wonderful local caterers (shameless plug insert here) I have catered many events locally, and also have worked for some of the best people in Maplewood. PL me if you are interested in more info. Have a wonderful party and congratulations Laura Grace |
