We're thinking of spending a few days on the island in August. Any recommendations on where to stay (child-friendly)? Thanks.

We went to Mallorca for our honeymoon, lo these many, many (many) years ago. It was all English and German tourists eating beans on toast and guzzling beer. If you went up into the mountains you could find local cultcha.

Stick to the northern side. Its 20 years since I was there but I think thats still true. Palma is major busy. Cala Ratjada is now a big town with a harbor side and a beach area, but i imagine it has its fair share of beer guzzlers. Popular with Germans. I think Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla might be less hectic.
