I had this 2 weeks ago and thought it was OK, if a little short on hops. A great name and label, though. The best canned micro is Dale's Pale Ale in the red, white and blue cans, nicely hopped, but balanced. Perfect for the 4th of July!
Cheers

My brother in law brought some over the other week. I'm not sure where he got it. I think abeer distributor in Brooklyn.

It's actually not as good as it is funny but I'll drink it just the same

It's made by Butternuts beer & ale in Garrattsville, NY and they were serving it at the Tap NY beer festival at Hunter Mountain back in April. The name was a hit with everyone. I couldn't tell you what it tasted like as I only had their other offering called Heinnieweisse.

The beer list looks pretty good, but I will probably wait for the Oktoberfest at the Deutscher Club in Clark.
Cheers

Can't make the fest in Hunter Mt. will be in 'real' Germany at the time.

I've never been to the Clark Oktoberfest either, but hear it's pretty good. Even though I'm afraid it's too picturebook Deutsch for me.

The Deutscher club has two Oktoberfests, one in August and one in September. I went to the September one last year and had a good time.

I am so craving for a Weihenstephaner Weissbier right now, with a weisswurst. Mmmmm. Reminds me of being in Weisbaden.

I think I'm going to have to go out and find some today.

My wife and I were in Belgium about 6 weeks ago, where we drank Brugse Zot at several meals. We enjoyed it quite a lot, and I was nearly certain that I had seen this beer somewhere here locally in times past. However, I've looked for it ever since we returned and have been unable to find it.

Does anyone happen to know this particular beer? If so, can you tell me if/where I can buy it in this area?

Thanks.

I have never heard of this beer, but looked it up on http://ratebeer.com/. It doesn't look like its available around here. The best place for Belgian beers in this area is the Super Saver store on Rt.22 E., Somerville(?), across from the Bridgewater Mall. You might find something comparable there.
Cheers

Thanks for the tip about Super Saver. I'll have to check it out sometime soon.
