Looking for chilpolte chiles in adobo sauce, a common thing found at the tiniest mexican grocery. But where is one? or another store that has a good mexican selection beyond the tex-mex? Tks.

The Foodtown on Irvington Ave has a bigger selection of mexican groceries than anywhere i've found around here. Not that i've made it a mission to do a thorough hunt...

I've got some in my cabinet. Either came from Kings or the Super Stop & Shop in the Watchung Plaza on Route 22. Haven't looked for it since I moved here. I would guess that one of the larger Shop Rites would have it.

Whole Foods often has them, and so does the Bravo on Scotland Road. They actually have an even better supply of Mexican and Latin American foods than Foodtown.

I've also been able to get them in a jar at Whole Foods which is better than the can. With the can I have to freeze what I don't use.
