Anyone know how long ago the IHOP on Bloomfield Avenue in Verona closed? We going to meet my sister there for an early dinner last night, and we got there and found a big FOR RENT sign on the building, and the IHOP sign covered in black plastic. |

Don't know, but not too far is the Original Pancake house on Bloomfield Ave. in West Caldwell. I like it better than IHOP, might want to check it out sometime. |

Original Pancake House is a league above your average IHOP. There's also one on Route 10 in Whippany. Their Banana pancakes are absolutely delicious - served with a tropical syrup that reminds me a lot of the marmalade I used to have back in the UK. |

Although I have not been there for years, I remember the Original Pancake House in West Caldwell as wonderful. I had the best pancakes ever there - they were pecan something - my mouth is watering just thing of them. |
