My husband and I are going to Denver on Friday. We will be there until the following Thursday. He will be in classes from 8:30 to 1 so I need suggestions for both things for me to do while he's in class and things for us both to do in the afternoon. We have dinner plans every night except 1 so restaurant recs are helpful too. We'll be in Longmont for the weekend and are driving through Boulder on Sunday. What to see for an afternoon there? Anyone been to Celestial factory? Thanks in advance for the help.

I was there years ago and remember the Denver Zoo being one of the best I have seen. I do not know what it is like now though.

Try to get up to Rocky Mountain National Park if possible, can he blow off classes for a day and you could drive Trail Ridge Rd through the park? The Coors Factory Tour is fun if you like beer. Red Rocks Amphitheater is nearby and even if you can't see a show the grounds and hiking are beautiful. I'd see a game at Coors Field if possible.

Go to the Blue Bonnet Cafe--best Margueritas and Mex Food in the world. Feels like Denver the way it was 50 years ago.

One word of warning. The high altitude does make you feel alcohol much quicker than here. I did not believe it until I felt extremely good halfway through my second Marguerita. I agree, the Coors tour was very fun. You even got two free drinks on the tour - not sure if they still do that though.
