I don't know Hoboken at all but look forward to meeting up with an old friend for lunch there on Friday. I'm taking the train and she's coming over on the ferry, so we won't have a car. Anything around that area would be great! Your suggestions are appreciated!

I like La Isla on Washington Street. A close walk from the train/ferry.

is she coming in on the North or South ferry? there are many more choices if she's coming in on the south side. here are a few for both...

South:
La Isla
Oddfellows
Brass Rail
Sushi Lounge

North:
City Bistro
Madison Bar & Grill
Baja
Liberty

Or, for a lighter lunch sort of in the middle, try the FROZEN MONKEY CAFE. It's groovy as all getout.

Thanks for your suggestions. Now Brooklyn friend says she can't figure out the ferry schedule; she says they only operate during commuter hours. Must investigate, as I'd rather not drive or train/subway into Brooklyn...although it has been awhile.
