Has anyone ever been here? If so, any thoughts?

I'm looking to take my toddler to the beach for the first time, but we can only go on the weekend and would like to go to a beach that's not too crowded. A friend recommended that I visit this beach and not Point Pleasant, because it's almost impossible to get parking on the weekends.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Been there quite a few times and it's fine for kids. Never been there on the weekend, but weekdays are fine. the walk to the beach is fine, it's clean and family friendly.

There is a great ice creme/itailan ices stand right before the entrance and Rooney's is a great place to eat (although not with "little"kids)

Seven Presidents does get crowded on weekends, and the parking lot fills up (and then they don't allow any more cars to enter); should be okay if you arrive before 11.

The area of the beach closest to the snack bar & bathrooms is the most crowded (it's the first parking lot to the right as you drive into the park). There's a playground area for kids, too.

Swimming is allowed only on sections of the beach where the lifeguards are; other areas are for fishermen, surfers, boat/jet ski launch.

Do they have changing rooms/showers? I looked at the website, and it only says rest rooms.
