You were right! Seven Presidents Beach is great. It took us under an hour to get there, parking was relatively close to the beach, the beach is clean and very kid-friendly. Thanksk, again, for your feedback. bklyngirl |

Where is this beach? What kind of services do they have there (food, showers, boardwalk, etc)? How much is it to go- per person charge? Parking? We are always looking for a good beach close by. We enjoy Point Pleasant but it is crowded and costs about $25 for 2 people for the day between parking and beach tags. Thanks! |

Seven Presidents is in Long Branch; it's a county park. No boardwalk or activities (there is a playground for kids). There's a snack bar, showers, changing room. The most crowded area of the beach is near the main building. If you walk down a bit, it gets less crowded (some areas of the beach are for fishermen and surfers; swimming is allowed only where the lifeguards are). It costs $6 per person, and $5 (?) to park; if you get there early enough you can park on the street and walk into the park. Take the GSP to exit 105; then stay on Rt 36 E.; takes you directly into the park. http://www.monmouthcountyparks.com/parks/seven_pres.asp |

ril is correct. Except, I didn't see the snack bar, showers or the playground. I parked really close to the entrance, so maybe all those things are further away. Anyway, it's a very convenient beach to go to. I strongly recommend it. bklyngirl |

Hard to imagine you can miss the snack bar and shower/restroom areas; they are right in middle of the two parking lots. Playgrounds are on the far sides. It's a great beach. There's also been amazing renovations going on in Long Branch lately, with a number of restaurants receiving good reviews. Though it's nice to see the town having a revival, there's some real heartbreak involved for some long term residents due to eminent domain issues. |

That's right, ril, I parked in the parking lot to your right as you enter the beach. The parking lot to the left was full. We must have gotten there too late - it was around noon when we arrived. I'll definitely go back, so I'll be sure to get there earlier next time. bklyngirl |
