Hi, meeting friends halfway between here and LBI for dinner. Does anyone have restaurant suggestions for a good seafood dinner?

Oh, and they'll have their infant with them, but have assured us he will sleep through the dinner.

Basil tea leaf in Red Bank, Vic's in Bradley Bch. Both suggestions take into account the infant.

I second Kleins. I ate there on Saturday Night and it was great. If you go try to get a table outside on the water.

Millie,

You and I seem to be hanging out at the same spots down the shore...or at least eating at the same spots. Have you been to the East Main St. Trattoria or The Boathouse yet this summer?

Hank,
I heard great things about East Main Street Trattoria but I have not been there yet. My parents have a house in Brielle so I have been spending my weekends down the shore. There are some great places in Brielle that offer waterside dining. Maybe this weekend i will try East Main Trattoria.

whats the place in Brielle with the huge tree growing in the middle of the deck overlooking the water? That looks like a fun place to hang out, even if it may not be the greatest food.

The Sand Bar. OK eats , big drinks , nice marina view. Lousy parking , don't park anywhere you don't think you should.

I know I missed your weekend, but in case you head down there again, Salle Tee's is great, but there is also the new Pier Village in Long Branch that has several options and great views.

Hank, if it's overlooking a marina, I think the place your referring to is Union Landing. Used to go there fairly regularly in my single days and pre-kids. Drinks and clams on the half shell on the patio. And the food wasn't bad. Had a hankering to head back down. Maybe in September.
