My husband and I stayed at Little Dix a few years ago. It was the week before Presidents' Week. I would say that we met mostly couples, but not honeymooners. There were very few children, until the last few days of our stay (presidents' week vacationers started arriving). We loved Little Dix and Virgin Gorda. We went back to Virgin Gorda this past April but, since we had our children with us this time, we chose to stay at the Bitter End Yacht Club, since it offers more for the children to do. |

My wife and I honeymooned at Caneel and have been to Virgin Gorda several times. Little Dix is as remote as remote can get. Once you are off resort property, Virgin Gorda borders on the third world. Caneel is very private, and St. John is a great island as far as having a mixture of privacy/isolation and decent restaraunts/activities. |

We've never been to Virgin Gorda, so I can't comment on Little Dix. We are going back to St. John next week and we love it there. We stay at the Westin (Starwood points), but I have heard great things about Caneel Bay. St. John is a beautiful island with so many different great beaches to visit, a laid back and casual atmosphere, and I always feel safe exploring the island. Caneel Bay has a few beaches right there on the resort for great snorkling and swimming. Check out this website and message board for more info on St. John: http://www.usvi-on-line.com/sj/ |
