My family is thinking of changing venues. My extended family, that is. We need a 5 bedroom at least. We've gone to the same house in La Selva Beach California for over 20 years. People are getting tired of it. It's come down to my generation to find a new venue. Has anyone ever rented in:

Colorado
Utah
Wyoming
or have other ideas of where are cool places to go.

WATER is a necessity (pref with an in-ground pool). There are some older folks, and many youngens, so there needs to be a nice town near by, and easy walks/hikes. Of course we love the beach, but want to steer clear of places like Cozumel (sp)?.

There is a great time-share in Breckenridge, CO, Grand Timber Lodge. Was there in May. One of my favorite scenes was looking from a high balcony, huge peaks in the background, a light snow falling, steam rising from two hot tubs and a couple of pools on the ground. Incredible. May have contact number if you need it.

Thanks. I was just looking into the YMCA (of all things) in Estes Park. They have cabins, pool, etc...

We just rented a great house in Bucerias, Mexico (close to Puerto Vallarta) and it had a pool and it was a very short block and a half to the beach and it came with daily maid service. That said, it would be too small for you (3 bedrooms), but I found it on VRBO.com and that's a great resource.

The beaches there and nearby were really beautiful.

Good luck!

we stayed near Tulum, Mexico (south of Cancun) in a villa right on the beach. It was gorgeous and much to do there with ruins, caverns, cenotes, scuba, Playa del Carmen, etc. All lodging can be booked thru www.locogringo.com

There's nothing wrong with Cozumel especially if you are a diver. For non-divers there is just eating and shopping. No real beaches to speak of. It's really a diving mecca. It gets more crowded now because of the cruise ships. If you are non-divers I would recommend Playa del Carmen...you can ferry over to Cozumel for a visit
